A MidSummer Night's Sale- and a huge destash giveaway!

Hi friends! Have you missed us?

Kim and I are both buried under big piles of life-junk lately. It happens.I haven't had much time to communicate, but I do take a quick scroll through my RSS feed every day and go "oooh" and "aaahhhh"....so I'm still vaguely aware of what's going on in the jewelry-making corner of the internet.

I've been bitten (repeatedly?) by the cleaning bug the past couple weeks and have decided to basically re-design my entire living-and-working space, which will hopefully lead to greater productivity- but, in the meantime, I need to make some space for new creations. So, we've decided to have a sale.

Those be rubies, fairy favours,
In those freckles live their savours:
I must go seek some dewdrops here
And hang a pearl in every cowslip's ear.

I should specify that "everything" means everything already in the shop (custom orders not included). Already marked down items, however, ARE included.

This sale will go on through the rest of the month. So, head on over to the shop and get some good deals!

Oh wait, there's more.

I'M GIVING AWAY A BUNCH OF BEADS!
I have a zillion plastic beads hanging around that I've held onto because they're good for all sorts of crafty things- but, I don't do much crafting other than jewelry making any more, and they don't really fit into my jewelry making style. So, it's time to say goodbye to them. I've already de-stashed most of the plastic I owned, so what's left is the cutest/most useful stuff, and I'd like for them to go to someone who's really going to appreciate them (as opposed to getting stapled to telephone poles).

So, here's what we're going to do- I'm going to number and describe them, and if you want any of them, comment here with what #s you want and a way that I can contact you to get your mailing address, and as long as no one else has claimed them, they're yours. That's all. There will be no drawing of names or anything. It's just first come, first serve. I will gladly pay the shipping so that these beads can be put to good use. You could send me back something you'd like to destash (as long as it's not more plastic), but that's totally optional, since the goal here is for me to end up with less stuff.

1. A tassel made out of both plastic and glass beads. Use it as-is or disassemble it and have a bunch of beads to play with.

2. A strand of off-white pearly thingies. They don't come apart. I suppose it's meant to be trim or some sort of sewing accoutrement, but I dunno, because I don't speak thread-and-needle.

3. Various sized round plastic pearly thingies on a gold (color, def. not real gold) chain. This might actually be a whole necklace that I intended on taking apart, but I haven't opened the bag in a while, so don't rely on the possibility that it has a clasp and is ready to wear. I do know for sure that it's pretty long.

4. Vintage plastic oval-shaped clearish and silver beads. The pic really doesn't do these justice. They're super pretty. The design on them is indented with silver paint inside so they shimmer a little bit, and they're very Art Deco.

5. Big burgundy acrylic beads. 3 are semi-translucent and one is pearlescent.  They are pretty realistically glass-like. No seams showing or anything.

6. Assorted sizes of ivory-colored pearly beads, plus 2 blue marbled rectangularish beads.

7. Cute little pointed oval-shaped (I know there's an actual name for that shape but I can't think of it) pearly white beads. Super girly. I used these for all sorts of things back when I had time for random crafting.

8. Big clear and opalescent beads in assorted shapes. Same as #5, just a different color.

9. Cute colored letter beads! As far as I know, all the letters of the alphabet are still in there, plus some hearts. I haven't used all the vowels or anything.

10. Faceted translucent pink plastic beads. 8 of them. Love the color.

11. Same as # 7, but silvery.

12. Tiny round silvery beads. Good for spacers.

13. Flat-backed translucent acrylic gems. All small and round.

14. Flat-backed oval-shaped acrylic gems in a variety of colors and sizes.

So, again...
  • Comment with the #(s) of the beads you'd like and an email address where you can be contacted OR just contact me at honeybijou@gmail.com.
  • Once I have an address to send beads to I'll cross those claimed beads off the list above.
  • Any beads that aren't claimed by next Saturday, July 21 will be donated to a local Goodwill.
