Daisies and buttons

Finally I've figured out how to embed an Etsy treasury in such a way that's properly clickable, thanks to a handy-dandy tool (link below the treasury). So here's a gorgeous daisy-themed treasury that includes some of our beads.

'Give Me a Daisy a Day' by chefmomster2

The splendor of the rose and the whitness of the lily do not rob the little violet of it's scent nor the daisy of its simple charm. If every tiny flower wanted to be a rose, spring would lose its lovliness. -Therese of Lisieux

In other news, today was all about buttons. I recently signed up for SweetBeadStudio's Button Swap, and I've been paired up with Kristi of Keepsakes by Kristi The deal is to swap 4 buttons, which seems a simple enough task, right? Well, it's not. When you own hundreds of buttons that each have their own charming qualities, choosing 4 is agonizing. So, I enlisted the help of my niece, which ended up being a really good decision.

Not only was she super helpful, but I also got to see her go from apathetic to obsessed concerning the topic of buttons. She sat down at the table and was like, "Really? What's the big deal about buttons?" and then I poured out my stash and she became immediately entranced in sorting through them. An hour later she was squealing over her favorites and exclaiming, "Now I know why they say 'cute as a button'!" Ladies (and gentlemen?), we've enlisted a new member into our button-hoarding masses. *Insert evil cackle here*.
